You know how sometimes especially during a bout of flu you have this mad craving of eating something spicy I ve been craving for something similar since a couple of days Landed up at Banana Leaf near shyamal and the first thing I see on their menu is a Jeera Milagu Rasam the description said it contained Jeera Tomato and Pepper We requested for a portion of the same and the soupy bliss was on the table in no time A spoonful in and I knew I found the spice I was looking for Sour and pepper ey with a good amount of ginger Perfect fix This is probably the best version of Rasam I ve had in Ahmedabad so far A must have We tried a few things on the menu including the Mysore Masala Dosa which like the service we experienced is nothing to write home about Nonetheless the Rasam has the power to take me there again and try a few more things from their menu Any recommendations are more than welcome

You know how, sometimes (especially during a bout of flu), you have this mad craving of eating something spicy? I've been craving for something similar since a couple of days. Landed up at Banana Leaf, near shyamal and the first thing I see on their menu is a Jeera Milagu Rasam; the description said it contained Jeera, Tomato and Pepper. We requested for a portion of the same and the soupy bliss was on the table in no time.
A spoonful in, and I knew I found the spice I was looking for! Sour and pepper-ey with a good amount of ginger. Perfect fix!
This is probably the best version of Rasam I've had in Ahmedabad so far! A must-have.
We tried a few things on the menu including the Mysore Masala Dosa which, like the service we experienced, is nothing to write home about.
Nonetheless, the Rasam has the power to take me there again and try a few more things from their menu. Any recommendations are more than welcome!
