This afternoon we had two lunches from two diverse cuisines of India. While @rohanbhatt will tell you about the other one, I would like to share our experience with our first lunch for the day.
'Thali of Sindh' from the on going Sindhi Food Festival at @thegreenhouse_thehouseofmg . This is from their weekend collaboration with a homechef, @handlewithfood . My primary reason to order this thali was for the Dal Pakwaan which has been on my mind since a week now. In the pre-covid era, I'd have driven to Juna Wadaj and had the Dal Pakwaan off the streets, but in current times, I look out for more cleaner and hygienic solutions to my manic cravings for anything street-y.
The food came in a huge 'House of MG' special tiffin bag, with each item neatly and separately packed.
While my Dal Pakwaan craving was satiated without a trace of doubt, what was delightful was everything else that came alongwith!
The Thom wari Bhindi and Bhee ki sabzi was a source of satisfaction for anyone who like the two vegetables and garlic! The macaroni and fox nuts sabzi overruled my primary cynicism of it. Kheerni was joyful!
For 776 incl. of taxes (my swiggy genie charges were extra) the meal clearly served two adults with a decent appetite.
To someone like me, for whom it is not an everyday meal, labelling the containers would've come handy.
