
Poppy seeds (Khus-Khus) are known for their sedative property and hence incorporated in a lactating mother's diet to soothe and relax her; which is said to enhance the milk production. That combined with soaked almonds makes for a rich consumption, beneficial for the baby.
Soak 1tbsp of Khus-Khus and 10-15 Almonds, overnight. Peel the almonds next morning and grind it along with khus-khus and some milk in a wet grinder until a smooth paste is formed. Add the paste to a cup of milk and cook for 20mins, stirring constantly. Add sugar and elaichi to taste.
Trivia: Our lil one was as large as one poppy seed when we found out about her!
