Just going to leave it out there in this universe before i crawl into my bed for a well deserved Sunday Nap!
Well deserved, because we rewarded ourselves with a fabulous Assamese Thali this afternoon!! While @rohanbhatt has spent seven years in the company of Assamese friends and their food, my interaction with their Food has been limited yet intense during my trip to Guwahati sometime in 2017.
This Thali brings a whole lot of preparations in to one plate, and each outshines the other! There are no overlapping flavours, only unique to one another! The use of mustard, bamboo, bhut jholokia, khaar everything is true to prep it belongs.
The two day pop-up by @choukascribbled at Food Inn Fine Dine ends tonight. So if you do not one to miss, what is clearly your best chance at Assamese Meal in Ahmedabad, please book that table!
At 750 for a non.veg fare (And 550 for a veg fare), it was the most value-for-money i have paid at a 'festival' in recent times.
And that gorgeous and unforgettable black rice pudding at the end makes you question everything you were passing off as a 'good dessert' in your life! I wish it were available even after this festival was over.
Hitting the pillow in 3..2..1...
