We decided to check out this three day old South-Indian restaurant which was brought to our notice by one of our oldest Instagram followers. God Bless Her! We are super excited and cannot wait to ask you guys to go check the place out!
Kovallam is extremely aesthetic in design and one has to visit to experience how simplicity and tastefulness are the only two parameters when it comes to an ambience.
The service was supersonic and warm.
GHEE PODY MASALA DOSA
The in-house pody stood out in its flavour and made the crispy ghee roast dosa a charm for the taste buds. The Sambhar, tad sweetened to localise, was a fabulous one i've had in the longest time!

MYSORE MASALA DOSA
The zing in the pody and the sharp taste of the onions alongwith the potato masala came together very well.

APPAM WITH VEGETABLE STEW
Warm appams with vegetable stew which carried the high note from the spices was served with poriyal.
MALABAR PARATHA WITH VEGETABLE KORMA AND PORIYAL
The vegetable korma (also called a kurma/kuruma) is very close to the one served in a typical Malayali household - nice and spicy.

COCONUT SHIRA
Ignore the unnecessary chocolate sauce drizzle and dunk into the coconut shira to top off you already perfect meal.

Next kill is going to be their SOUTH INDIAN THAALI on a sooner weekday afternoon!
Wishing them a lasting run in Ahmedabad!
