Looks like we're getting hooked to @lollorossoindia 's Bowls of the Month! The Jambalaya Bowl - a reflection of the intercultural exchange of American and African cuisine and how well-complementing they are! Jambalaya is an African preparation of rice that is cooked with vegetables and meat. You need to eat this bowl in 3 steps, each time! 1. Scoop some of that Creamy Paprika Avocado with the Buttermilk Corn Bread! It's a match made in heaven. 2. Simultaneously, make a generous spoonful of the Cajun spiced Jambalaya, the paneer and a half of the Cayenne Pepper Potato Wedge and thank us later! 3. Squeeze the lemon on the cucumber and eat it with the Caesar Arugula. Cannot believe it's been a decade-long journey with the entire #FiAFamily , yet, everytime we discover something new, it's a whole new feeling, every single time. A few hours ago, we came across a pop-up for Tiramisu and the coffee-lovers that we are, we immediately called the number given, asked if there's anything available for last-minute requests like ours. Guess what!? We were in luck! We were told that the portion size is enough for two hungry souls. So we requested for two portions, ofcourse. 😜 The pick-up was from Latitude (Mithakali) between 11am and 2pm. We were on time, picked up our boxes, got home and took a spoonful, instantly after taking this photo and were so glad to taste a Tiramisu so close to the real deal! We were told that @tanaya_jolly , the one who made this fantastic dessert, learnt it at a cafe in Cambridge and has been practicing ever since. Ofcourse the key ingredient to the modern Tiramisu recipe is missing, but that has not stopped her from exploring the dessert. In a bakery universe of jack-of-all-trades, it's always refreshing to bump into those who have their focus on a single product - more power to your kind! We completed a month of parenthood, last week, and by that we also mean that our daughter turned a whole of a month old. To drown the sorrow of not being able to count her age in days again, we decided to take up @bakedbyninis on their offer to send our lil one her first cake. They offered. We said yes. We sent design. They said yes. They asked flavour. We said black forest. (Classic!) And just like that, with three round of questions, we had our desired design and flavour of custom cake, recreated to the highest nostalgic quotient, at our door-step within twelve hours of the conversation.
