Date & Dry Fruit Discs

This mithai, which can alternatively also be used as an energy bar, is super amazing because it is simple to make and tastes twice as delish.
This used no sugar and only a tbsp of ghee!
METHOD: Finely chopped dry fruits of your choice, the crunchy ones. I used Cashews, Pistachios, Almonds. Roast them dry and keep aside to cool down.
Heat a tbsp of ghar ka ghee, because there is nothing that can substitute the taste of ghar ka ghee!! Saute chironji and khus-khus in this ghee, add the chopped dry fruits and saute a little. Add 500gms of seedless+chopped dates. Mix them well. I literally used a masher to bring them all together. Set this aside to cool down.
Once after, spread an aluminium foil and drizzle some roasted khus-khus. Now make a dough ball out of the mixture and shape it into a rod. Roll this over the sheet so that the poppy seeds stick in a uniform fashion. Wrap the foil and refrigerate this for 3/4hours.
Later, slice discs with a serrated knife. And done :D
These can last for as many as 3-4months provided you don't already eat them sooner. ;) If it's not a festive occasion, you can replace dry fruits with roasted peanuts too! Your choice entirely!
