We had this decadent dessert at their food trials a few days ago. A moist chocolate sponge, doused with hot chocolate ganache, topped with chunky praline and a swirl of coffee mousse. It has been the largest producer of Milk and Milk Products in India, it has been a household name for most part of our lives, and still continues to dominate our choices as far as some dairy products are concerned. There is so much going on in this cake! First up, it looks like that! Second, when you cut through, it reveals layers which at first excite you, and later leaves you overwhelmed! 🤣 @hapycalz , Vanilla Cafe Latte Cake builds a character with these layers; twice over! Cream Cheese Frosting Whipped Chocolate Ganache Coffee Mousse Covered with Cream Cheese Frosting and Coffee Meringue. And, it was Eggfree! So, when she offered to be a part of one of recent family celebrations by sending this cake, we couldn't deny (especially after how she described it!) And, we had family from the age range of 65 to 8 year old (Technically our 5.5 month old counts too!) This was enjoyed by everyone alike. Its a big cake. Despite a gang of adults, there was so much leftover (Much to the delight of @rohanbhatt and I 🤣) Thankyou, @hapycalz for engaging our Coffee Loving Selves, with this cake. There is so much going on in this cake! First up, it looks like that! Second, when you cut through, it reveals layers which at first excite you, and later leaves you overwhelmed! 🤣 @hapycalz , Vanilla Cafe Latte Cake builds a character with these layers; twice over! Cream Cheese Frosting Whipped Chocolate Ganache Coffee Mousse Covered with Cream Cheese Frosting and Coffee Meringue. And, it was Eggfree! So, when she offered to be a part of one of recent family celebrations by sending this cake, we couldn't deny (especially after how she described it!) And, we had family from the age range of 65 to 8 year old (Technically our 5.5 month old counts too!) This was enjoyed by everyone alike. Its a big cake. It's very hard not to like Kunafa, especially the Cheese Kunafa. An iconic middle eastern dessert which has managed to impress generations after generations. A layer of shredded phyllo dough/vermicelli, Nabulsi/Akkawi cheese (which is essentially desalted), later doused with aromatic (rose/khus) syrup and urged to be eaten warm. The best part of this dessert is that it has multiple textures, moderate not bold, yet satisfying, flavours. Very earthy. Feat. Here is the Cheese Kunafa from @tanoor.amd 's newest introduction. Since Nabulsi cheese is not available world across except for the native lands, the second most popular choice of cheese is mozzarella. #LimitedEdition Oden - Japanese Winter in a Bowl We keep referring to uncountable food preparations as 'A warm hug 🤗' and more often than not, it is because the food/beverage is warm, and the temperatures outside are low enough to make you skip the rocks in your malt. Is it enough to have just a temperature difference, anoint the crown of 'a warm hug' to any and all foods? Maybe, not. Recently though, we had this piping hot bowl of Oden - a stew of winter vegetables (also an added boiled egg is such a delight! 😁) at this cosy Japanese diner in the city. It is a one-pot meal which is served with an almost-boiling broth of dashi.
