To say that we had the most gratifying Indian meal, in a very long time, will not be a tall claim. Before I move onto tell you about the food, I want to tell you about the individual behind the food. Aman Sharma is a two year old member of the #FiAFamily and gathered recognition from the fellow members with his #DhabaTrails. His exploration of rustic food was blazing! Early into his time with the community, he approached us to be a part of the #FiAStudio at Weekend Window and served some A-level Daal Makhni to everyone who visited! No sooner did people taste his food, they were left longing for more. And our hearts swelled when we learnt that he now has a weekend kitchen called @pushtainiz (mind you, it's very aptly named) while holding onto his full-time desk-job. We waited for a time when we had our extended family to be able to try more food. And we regretted having waited all this while! Our order consisted of: Smokey Dal Makhni combo (served with 2 laccha paratha) Rajma Combo (served with rice) Lal paneer combo (served with 2 laccha paratha) Koyla Butter paneer Pakode ka Pullav with Boondi Raita Extra Laccha Paratha The food was such a refreshing change from the same old gravies and curries that we've been encountering in the recent past. There is something about the proper quality of ingredients that is evident in the taste and how comfortable one feels immediately after the meal. This meal from @pushtainiz easily ranks in the aces, as far as the taste and quality is concerned. Aman was kind enough to offer us a portion of Dhungar Lal Soya Chaap And the Gulab Gulkand ki Kheer. The Kheer is worth saving an appetite for! Like the rest of the food, even the dessert is made with a lot of love and had been given ample time to thicken. We were full, yet, we could not stop eating the deliciousness that this Kheer was. 1545 for the meal (sans the Soya Chaap and Gulkand Kheer) Such success stories are Foodaholics in Ahmedabad's success stories, in extension..and it is only a humble reminder of how gifted we are as a community! May the world be blessed with more Aman Sharmas! #IPaidForIt #FoodaholicsInAhmedabad #Foodaholics #Ahmedabad #FoodinAhmedabad
